Voluntary 7-day refund

You may request a full refund of your first Tales subscription payment within 7 calendar days after purchase by emailing buildtounderstand@gmail.com from the account email. This commercial promise is limited to one refund per person and account. It does not cover later renewals, upgrades already substantially consumed, fraudulent use, chargeback abuse or a material breach of the Terms. These limits never reduce mandatory consumer rights.

EU consumer withdrawal right

If you are an EU consumer, you generally have 14 days from concluding a distance contract to withdraw without giving a reason. To exercise that right, send an unambiguous statement to the email or postal address below before the period expires. If you expressly requested immediate performance, the law may permit us to retain a proportionate amount for service supplied before withdrawal. Any loss of the withdrawal right for fully performed services or supplied digital content applies only where all legally required prior consent, acknowledgement and confirmation conditions have been satisfied.

Model withdrawal statement

Cancellation

Open your Tales account and select “Cancel subscription”. Cancellation is free and stops renewal at the end of the current billing period. You keep paid features until then. If the online control fails, email us and we will use the time your message was received. Cancellation does not automatically refund the current period.

After cancellation

Stories already generated are intended to remain accessible through their links without an active subscription. We cannot guarantee perpetual hosting and may remove content for legal, security or Terms violations. You should keep your own copies of material you need.

Processing refunds

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Mandatory refunds are processed within the period required by law; voluntary refunds are normally initiated within 10 business days. Banks and payment networks may need additional time.
